  • Sony VAIO AX570G

With its desktop-level performance, huge hard drive, and Windows Media Center operating system, Sony’s AX570G is a solid addition to the VAIO product line.

It is a great machine for viewing pictures and videos, as well as playing games, thanks to its top-of-the-line graphics hardware and brilliant 17-inch WXGA+ display. An integrated web cam is another nice feature for those who use video instant messaing.

In terms of ergonomics, this desktop replacement features a good-sized keypad, but this is offset by the cramped and awkward touchpad and mouse buttons. Poor wireless range and mediocre sound quality may be inconvenient to some, but in most other ways, this is a very solid and powerful laptop computer.
