  • Dell XPS M2010

This highly functional (and expensive) laptop computer aims to integrate all the advantages of a desktop into a single portable unit.

The M2010 features a massive 20.1-inch widescreen display, removable Bluetooth keyboard, eight speakers, and a built-in webcam, all rolled into a unique and innovative fold-out design. When closed, it resembles a large briefcase, with a convenient carrying handle for increased protability.

This machine is a true giant in terms of multimedia performance with its top-of-the-line Radeon X1800 graphics card, TrueLife widescreen display, and Windows XP Media Center Operating System. DVDs and 3D games are sure to run like a dream. One of the few multimedia options not offered is a built-in TV tuner, which would need to be purchased separately at a cost of around $100.

The M2010’s only big disadvantages are its 18.3-pound weight, and $3500+ price tag, making it quite clear that this is a machine for the high-end multimedia and gaming junkie, rather than those seeking affordable practicality.
