  • Dell XPS M1210

This lightweight notebook from Dell is an excellent combination of style and power. It includes a dual-core Intel processor and 256MB of discrete graphics memory, as well as an integrated webcam and built-in mobile broadband capability.

The XPS M1210 should be a solid choice for the avid multimedia user, due to its sharp TrueLife display, dedicated audio/video buttons, and Media Center operating system. Its only drawback in this area is the tinny-sounding speakers, although dual-headphone jacks do allow two people to listen simultaneously.

In terms of wireless connectivity, this notebook is fully loaded with 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and EV-DO (or HSDPA) 3G broadband built right in.

Overall, this is one of Dell’s most powerful and portable laptops of all time. Anyone who loves multimedia, likes to travel, and has a bundle of money to spend should be very happy with it.
